- I installed RealAudio and am having a problem with the 28.8 Network Stream
- as sound is being transmitted. I get intermittent stop and start sounds in
- the transmission. I believe that I set everything properly. A little info:
-
-
- 486/66 running Win3.1
- 16M Ram
- 28.8 modem
-
- **Real Audio 2.0.b3 Settings in the RealAudio Player**
-
- Set for Lowest CPU Usage (as opposed to Best Audio Quality)
-
- Bandwidth: 28.8 Modem (other settings in "Network" dont make a
- difference)
- No Setting in "Proxy."
-
- Nothing checked in "Advanced." (Settings also don't make a
- difference.)
-
- In checking "Statistics," as suggested, there are none or very few lost
- packets as the network 28.8 stream is being transmitted.
-
- Also, when ever a 14.4 network stream is being transmitted, the
- transmission is OK. I increased by buffer size by adding to my system.ini
- [386enh] com3RXSize=8 as suggested in the troubleshooting guide. I also
- have a 16550 UART.
-
- I am running PipelineNYC as my ISP, but it's not a true PPP connection; it
- uses Twinsock emulation. Could this be part of all of the problem?
